11 Days ('til we elope!)

Lack of blogging duly noted. What has happened since we last updated?

We are both still working quite a lot. A lot of challenges, a few triumphs. It's taken some doing to get ourselves back on track, but here we are eleven days away from getting married!

Yes, in our postponement announcement we said we wanted to get the J.O.P version of our nuptials done as quickly as possible. However, schedules being the fickle creatures that they are, this is where we have ended up. And on our regularly scheduled wedding date no less!

We will continue from here with the rest of our plans as previously mentioned: a wedding ceremony and get-together same time next year at our venue of choice, The Homeplace.

My parents are expected to arrive around the 13th (they are driving all the way from NY). The game plan is simply to head over to the J.O.P with our parents, get married, then go to lunch or dinner. What time of the day and those details, I'll sort out on Monday as I will have the whole day off to do so. (See this is me planning ahead, sort of...) :)

I'm sure the rest of the weekend will involve hanging out with the parents- my dad will most definitely want to check out Dyess (being the he was formerly stationed there). They haven't been to Abilene since 1994- so I'm sure they'll be pretty surprised by how much the area has grown since then.

And for our mini-honeymoon, Jed and I will head to San Antonio for some Sea World and San Antonio Zoo fun.
